The active substance of NEKSGARD tablets – afoxolaner, insectoacaricide of the isoxazoline group. It blocks GABA-dependent receptors in arthropods, which leads to impaired transmission of nerve impulses, paralysis and death of parasites. The drug has such an effect only on invertebrates and is absolutely safe for mammals, and in particular for dogs. One dose of NexGard guarantees the destruction of fleas on the animal within 6-8 hours, ticks within 48 hours, and also prevents re-infestation by ectoparasites within 4 weeks.
