NEXGARD SPECTRA  combines two active ingredients to offer broad spectrum control of the most common external and internal parasites of dogs in one convenient monthly treat. 
 
This new soft, beef-flavoured chew represents the next generation of the popular NEXGARD SPECTRA Chewables for fleas and ticks, now with the added benefit of treatment for roundworms, hookworms and whipworms.
 
Created with soy proteins and braised beef flavouring, NEXGARD SPECTRA features a beefy aroma that dogs love; and, because it is vegetable-based it won’t trigger beef allergies. 
 
NEXGARD SPECTRA is safe for all breeds and puppies from 8 weeks of age and 2kg or more.
 
NEXGARD SPECTRA Chewables can be given with or without food. 
 
As NEXGARD SPECTRA is an oral treatment, dogs may be handled immediately following administration and there are no restrictions on swimming, bathing and shampooing before or after administration. 

For dogs over 60 kg, administer the appropriate combination of whole chewables.

The active components of the drug, afoxolaner and milbemycin oxime, provide effective protection and treatment against:

• - fleas (Ctenocephalides felis, Ctenocephalides canis);
• - Ixodes ticks (Dermacentor variabilis, Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes scapularis, Rhipicephalus - -  sanguineus, Amblyomma americanum, Haemaphysalis longicornis);
• - Demodex mites (Demodex canis);
• - Scabiei mites (Sarcoptes scabiei, Otodectes cynotis);
• - Gastrointestinal nematodes (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense, Trichuris vulpis);
• - Esophageal nematode (Spirocerca lupis);
• - Lung nematodes (Ancylostoma ceylanicum, Angiostrongylus vasorum);
• - Dirofilaria immitis larvae.

AFOXOLANER blocks GABA-dependent arthropod receptors, which leads to impaired transmission of nerve impulses, paralysis and death of parasites. MILBEMYCIN OXIM increases the permeability of cell membranes of endoparasites for chloride ions (Cl-), which leads to overpolarization of cell membranes of nerve and muscle tissue, paralysis and death of the parasite.

Indications for use:

• protecting a dog from infection with piroplasmosis (babesiosis), borreliosis (Lyme disease), which are transmitted through the bite of ixodid ticks;
• Protection against dirofilariasis (heartworm) transmitted by mosquito bites
• treatment and prevention of helminths in the gastrointestinal tract, esophagus, lungs;
• flea infestation (afanipterosis);
• flea dermatitis (as part of complex therapy);
• as an adjunct in the complex therapy for the treatment of severe forms of demodicosis and sarcoptic mange instead of toxic drugs based on ivermectin;
• Effective treatment of otodectosis (ear mite) even in advanced cases.

Contraindications:

• increased individual intolerance of the animal to the drug components;
• severe impairment of liver and kidney function;
• puppies under 8 weeks old and weighing less than 2 kg;
• animals other than dogs;
• collie, bobtail, sheltie puppies use the drug only on the recommendation of a veterinarian;
• productive animals.
